Blogging

I haven't blogged in quite a long time.  I used to be decent about updating a personal blog I kept on a different site.  But now that my website gets some actual traffic, I thought I'd try making use of this blog.  Would anyone read this?  [Tap, tap.]  Is this thing on?

One difficulty, as evidenced by a glance at my blogroll, is the division in my interests--on one hand, law, sociology, legal consciousness, criminology; on the other, fiction writing/reading.  Having two blogs (or even two separate websites) probably makes the most sense, but I have neither the time nor the readership to justify that kind of bifurcation.  So for now, I'll just post what interests me, and you can disregard anything you find irrelevant to you (which is, I guess, an excellent policy for blog-reading in general).
